In 2019, the Coalition served nearly 13,000 taxpayers. Four thousand forty-nine participated in a Financial Check-Up (FCU), a light touch advising session administered by trained volunteers at specific tax sites who serve as financial guides. Of this 4,049, 2,339 participated in the full FCU, which includes a one-on-one credit review, and 1,213 of these individuals enrolled in Boston’s new citywide credit building program, Boston Builds Credit, which provides follow up credit building assistance. From those responding to the survey, we randomly select ten to receive a $25 gift card. All winners were notified the beginning of September.
